- GRAMMAR on IXL (listed under Language Arts): Start on level GG- Sentences, Fragments and Run-ons. Next go to JJ- Verb Types, KK-Subject-Verb Agreement, LL-Verb Tense--work for 20 minutes.
- THINK ABOUT THIS THIS WEEK (DUE MON): You have been writing about Wonder in your Journal for days now...Please bear in mind that you will need to send me a GoogleDoc of one of your Journal entries as our last BOOK LIFE (so bear this in mind as you, essentially, are writing your first draft in your Journal, and then you have to type me a version to send to me).
- OPTIONAL DAILY JOURNAL: On a fresh piece of paper in your Journal, kindly put the date in cursive...You should be writing your whole page in cursive! Think about the book Wonder...Yesterday, we ended our ReadAloud at a sad moment because Daisy is very sick and scared to be going to the vet's...Perhaps you have had your own experience with feeling sad or scared (like when you fell off you trampoline and broke your arm, or stuck your foot in your bicycle wheel while you were riding it (me))...Perhaps you would like to write about it, or draw about it, or paint about it today? This is optional, you do not have to do this, it is just for you and no one else, but....sometimes writing about things that make us sad or scared can make us stronger somehow...
- READING: Have your Book Life/ Reading notebook and post-its nearby as we continue reading WONDER...
SOCIAL STUDIES
- Send me a screenshot on Google Hangouts for your Chapter 4 Google Doc. This will be double graded for Social Studies, and as a writing assignment, so BEFORE YOU SEND IT TO ME, BE SURE TO EDIT IT! SHORT ANSWER QUESTIONS NEED TO BE REPHRASED, with details to support your answer.
- Chapter 4 test on GoogleCR
- Chapter 4 for 5/29: Continuing on the Same GoogleDoc, Look under Facts and Main Ideas on page 153 in the textbook...Out of questions #1, #5, #6, #7, pick 2 to answer. Kindly rephrase the question.
- Chapter 4 from 5/28: Continuing on the same GoogleDoc from yesterday, on page 152, do the Vocabulary section typing your answers, and the People and Places section with 8-10 sentences. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WRITING COMPLETE SENTENCES!!!
- Chapter 4 from 5/27: Complete Lesson 3 Exit Tix on Google CR. In a Google Doc, start the Chapter Summary Sequence (top of the page) from page 152 in the textbook.
- Chapter 4 from 5/26: Make sure you have completed the lessons below, and work on workbook page 40.
- There are also other Exit Tickets from Chapter 4 on GoogleCR.
RELIGION

- I am not sure if you have heard, but our buddy Melanie in grade 3 has been fighting brain cancer at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia...I thought it might be a nice gesture to send her a card! Grade 5 always makes the best cards! Here is her address which was taken from Mr. Dunnigan's blog...And as the saying goes, laughter is the best medicine---so perhaps you would like to include a school appropriate joke!
