I hope you are somewhere that is very cool...Cool in temperature, I mean! You are in fifth grade, so we know you are already cool!
I have to say that you all have been very focused, helpful and willing to learn---despite the heat! I certainly applaud you, grade 5, and it is only the second day! What a year we will have together!

Just a few things to keep in mind...
Parents, please plan to join us, if you can, for our premiere First Friday Mass at 11AM...All are welcome!
Also, Friday is a half day this week, and dismissal will be at noon!
Have you started decorating your tissue box yet? This is a chance for you to let your creativity shine, so have some fun with this assignment. Please have it finished for Friday, or Monday at the latest!
Don't forget that "Permission to Publish" form if you didn't bring it in yet!
Please thank your parents for all of the lovely school supplies that they have given to you--and our classroom---this year! Everyone has been very kind and considerate...I certainly am very grateful!
Thursday will be another hot one, so please bring some extra water...
